Meet the Trainers

Kama Rueschenberg conceptualized Club-Doggie and has developed the unique training programs now featured. She trains agility and herding from beginning to the competition level. Kama professionally trials client dogs and is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Currently Kama is coauthoring ‘The Herding Handbook’, and working towards her degree in Animal Behavior Sciences.



Jubie Rueschenberg owns and operates Club-Doggie. Her background includes training for conformation, obedience, shutzend, herding, freestyle, and agility. She has authored published articles on training and theory, developed training videos, and specializes in motivational training. Jubie started competing in agility in 2006 and qualified for the USDAA Cynosport World Games. In 2007 she and her dog Squeeky were one of eight dogs to make it into the USDAA Performance Speed Jumping Finals at the USDAA Cynosport World Games. In 2008, Squeeky and Jubie took home 2nd place at the Bay Team Regionals in California in the Performance Versatility Pairs (PVP) event.  To date, Jubie is furthering her career and education in applied dog behavior and training.


Debbie Zapusek is Club-Doggie's Therapy and Service Dog Class instructor, and Obedience Class instructor.  Debbie has over forty years of canine experience as a groomer, dog boarder, kennel technician, veterinarian technician, certified vaccine administrator, dog behavior evaluator for animal control facilities, foster care provider, and more.  She is a member of the Anthracite Dog Training Club, Therapy Dogs International, Companion Animal Association of Arizona, Delta Society, Pet Partners Program of the Arizona Humane Society, and Gabriel's Angels Program.  Debbie's dogs have become Certified Therapy Dogs and accomplished Service Dogs.  More recently, with her Border Collie Cheyenne, Debbie is able to add agility titles and training to her list of qualifications and dog training experience.  You can contact Debbie at debbie@club-doggie.com.



Leslie Hobensack has been involved in dog agility since 1995.  She has successfully trialed three dogs; Bodie an Australian Shepherd, Sage an Australian Shepherd, and Teg a Border Collie.  Leslie's dogs have earned multiple titles including:  ADCH, Snooker Champion Bronze, Tournament Master Platinum, Gamblers Champion Silver, Standard Agility Champion Bronze, and Relay Champion Bronze.  Some of Leslie's major accomplishment include:  qualifying to compete in the USDAA Cynosport World Games every year since 2000 and winner of three USDAA Grand Prix Tournaments.  Leslie and Teg have placed in the USDAA Top Ten Standing for the entire South West Region for 2007 and 2008.  Currently, Leslie and Teg are qualified to compete in the USDAA Cynosport World Games in 2009.  Leslie's focus is on enhancing her agility training skills, and she continues to train with world team competitors and instructors.  Sadly, Leslie will no longer be teaching at Club-Doggie.  We will miss you Leslie, and wish you the best of luck!


Our Dogs

Crash is owned by Kama Rueschenberg.  He is currently a Tournament Master Silver in USDAA, holds multiple High in Trial and High in Trial Reserves from various herding shows on both sheep and ducks, competes in the Excellent level in AKC agility, and has participated at the USDAA Cynosport World Games all three years of his agility career, including Grand Prix Semifinals in 2008.  Crash is currently qualified for the 2009 Cynosport World Games in Scottsdale, AZ.  Crash is also occasionally handled by the junior handlers at Club-Doggie as a part of the USDAA Junior Handler program.


Squeeky is owned by Jubie Rueschenberg.  She is currently one Performance III Gamblers Qualifying run away from her APD (Accomplished Performance Dog Title).  In 2007, Squeeky advanced to the Finals in the Cynosport World Games Performance Speed Jumping and became number seven in the world in the 16" performance class.  In 2009, Squeeky has earned four Byes by winning four Performance Grand Prix tournament events allowing her a ticket into the finals round of four different Regional events.  Squeeky will be attending regionals in Texas, California, Colorado, and Illinois to claim her spot in the finals round.  She is also currently qualified to attend the 2009 Cynosport World Games at Westworld in Scottsdale, Arizona.
